Frank Dicopoulos (Frank Achilles Cooper) will be getting some much deserved recognition next weekend. The actor will be honored with the Humanitarian, Artistic Achievement Award by the Hellenic Times Scholarship Fund at its 17th Anniversary Gala this year. Beyond his role as a positive representative of the Greek community, the veteran actor is being honored for his volunteer work with organizations such as the Wildlife Rehabilitators, Monmouth Land Conservation Foundation, Skin Cancer Foundation, the “Hands On” Project, Monmouth County S.P.C.A., Young Women’s Breast Cancer Foundation, Duke University Children’s Hospital, Marlboro Educational Foundation and The Jimmy V Foundation. In addition to Dicopoulos, former Guiding Light star Melina Kanakaredes, who, of course played Frank’s wife Eleni, will also be on hand as a presenter. The Bold and the Beautiful star Constantine Maroulis will be serving as the guest host with performances by Alpha and Sister Sledge.

The event will be held on Saturday, May the 10th, 2008 at the New York Marriott Marquis hotel at 46th Street & Broadway. Cocktails will be served at 7:00 PM with a dinner 8:00 PM. For more information or to purchase tickets, please visit the official site or call 1-212-986-6881.
