Guiding Light

The longest running soap opera, Guiding Light, aired on radio in 1937 before moving to CBS television in June 30, 1952 where it aired until September 18, 2009 after a record seventy-two years. The storyline focused on the Spaulding, Cooper and the Lewis families, who were residents of the town of Springfield.
