Britt Helps Delivers Baby on Christmas Day — and Maxie Gets a Miraculous Family Reunion

Laura meets with Jordan at her office, and they talk about the disaster of a storm that hit last night, closing several roads.

At the Quartermaine’s, Austin helps Brook Lynn clean up after Christmas morning madness. Brook Lynn says Leo loved Austin’s gift, a video game about marine biology. Olivia jokes they may never see her son again. Austin thanks Olivia for letting him stay here, and she says no one should be alone for Christmas.

Ned asks Olivia if she prepped enough food for another guest. She thinks there is always room for one more. Suddenly Cody shows up at the front door shivering and with a problem. Cody comes in, and he tells Olivia and Ned that the roads are completely blocked off, so nobody is getting in or out today. Olivia asks what his plans are, and he admits he was supposed to go into town for dinner. Olivia insists he stays.

Ned tells Olivia they don’t have enough food, so she says she’ll whip up some noodles and lasagna. She runs off to the kitchen, and Ned tells Cody that Leo will be happy to see him. Austin thinks he’s been replaced just like that. Austin suspects BLQ is over the moon that Cody is the favorite as they never got along, and now he and Maxie are over. She knows what it’s like to tell some white lies when you think it’s for the greater good.

TJ and Molly arrive unexpectedly. They explain they were out caroling when they got stranded. Olivia invites them in and says to make themselves comfortable.

At Nina’s, Britt heads out after opening gifts as she has work, the polar bear plunge, and is meeting Brad at the soup kitchen. Obrecht walks her daughter out to the hall and tells her she doesn’t have to act like this is her last Christmas. Britt knows it’s not, but how many will she be able to live to her fullest. Obrecht suggests she live every day like it’s her first, so she doesn’t lose sight of the magic around her.

Back in Nina’s place, Maxie thinks she should go too and doesn’t want to miss her flight. Nina asks how she is doing given the breakup. Maxie says it was for the best and going to Portland to see Georgie will help. Suddenly she gets a message that her flight has been canceled.

In Portland, Spinelli brought Georgie to see Ellie for Christmas. She thanks Spinelli as she missed her last year. Spinelli says she’ll always be Georgie’s third parent. He also thanks her for including Maxie tonight as Georgie will be thrilled. Ellie thinks it won’t just be Georgie who is glad to see her. Spinelli says perhaps she can invite this new guy she’s seeing over too. Later, Maxie video calls them and breaks the news that her flight has been canceled until tomorrow. An upset Georgie runs off to her room.

Ellie gets back to what she brought up before and thinks Spinelli has fallen for Maxie again. He admits he thought having her here for Christmas could bring them back together as a family, but perhaps it’s not meant to be. Ellie Christmas is a time for miracles.

Back at Nina’s, Obrecht heads back inside and finds out Maxie’s flight has been canceled. Maxie laments that she needed this and so did Georgie. Obrecht thinks there are other options to explore, and they’ll get her to Portland. Nina makes calls, and some of the private hangars across the border that Crimson uses are operational. She asks Maxie if she knows anyone who owns a plane in the hangar.

Maxie calls Brook Lynn and tells her about the bind she’s in. She hopes one of the planes in the Toronto hangar has her family’s name on it. Austin finds out about Maxie’s problem, and Brook Lynn says while she has a plane, the roads aren’t clear. Austin has an idea of how to get Maxie to Canada. He calls up Mason for a favor and asks him to get a boat to the pier.

Meanwhile back at the Quartermaine’s, Olivia is stunned when the doorbell rings and she finds a pregnant woman looking like Mary standing there. She blurts out, “Holy mother of God!” The woman explains she was part of a live nativity and couldn’t get home because the roads are blocked. She asks if she can stay until a ride-share shows up. Olivia tells her the more the merrier.

Back at Nina’s, Maxie gets a call from Brook Lynn telling her the jet is hers, but she must take a boat to Canada. She tells her to get her booty to the pier.

Over at the Quartermaines, everyone finishes dinner and Olivia thinks her leftover Arrabbiata sauce went over well. Ned notes it’s a very spicy sauce and there is a very pregnant woman in their living room. Olivia thinks that’s an old wife’s tale until the woman goes into labor.

Everyone pitches together to help the woman give birth, and Molly points out TJ is a doctor and can help. Austin walks in having grabbed a drink, and Olivia tells him to get over here and help too.

Later, Austin pulls Cody aside and tells him there is a problem and the baby is breached. He says this woman needs a trained OB.

Sonny finds Sasha working at Brando’s garage. She explains the garage is being sold, and Brando’s 2022 resolution was to finish his bike by 2023. Sonny decides to give her a hand and thinks they can get this done by dinner.

Later Britt shows up. She explains her car spun on out the road, and this was the only place she could find open. Sasha says it’s not open, but she can hang out until Triple-A comes. Britt laments, “This isn’t the way I wanted to spend the last Christmas in Port Charles.” Sasha asks if she’s going somewhere.  She explains she just has plans to get out of town. Suddenly Cody calls, and Britt reluctantly answers and asks what he wants. He tells her about the Virgin Mary about to give birth at the Quartermaine’s, and she wonders how much eggnog he’s had. Austin takes the phone and tells Britt they need her help, and no car or ambulance can get through these roads. Suddenly, Sasha and Sonny get Brando’s bike to start.

Back at the Quartermaines, Sasha and Britt pull up in the backyard and ride over Monica’s flowerbed. Britt says she hears there is a baby that needs delivering.

Britt helps deliver the baby safely, and the woman decides to name the little girl Noel. She also names her Britta after the doctor who helped deliver her, Britta Noel. Britt is touched.

BLQ tells Austin that she never got to thank him for what he did for Maxie. She says he may have some redeeming qualities that she overlooked.

Eventually, Jordan and the pracademics show up, and she is surprised to find TJ there as she thought she wouldn’t see him today. Jordan explains traffic is starting to move, so TJ thinks they should get out of their hair. Ned suggests after the day they’ve had, everyone should stay and celebrate together.

Scott gets into a snowball fight with Liz’s kids outside the house. Inside, Liz looks at a photo of her and the kids, and her with Finn and Violet. Cam asks his mom if everything is okay because she’s been quiet about Finn. Liz assures him she’s fine. She asks if Joss is stopping by, but he says her car is still broken down.

Scott heads inside and Cam goes out to play with his brothers. Scott lets Liz know that both he and Laura are worried about her. She admits she’s spent most of her Christmases without her parents, but this year it feels final. He tells her Jeff is a fool, and even though Franco is gone, she’s still a Baldwin. They hug.

Laura arrives later to check on and support Liz. They embrace. Liz realizes instead of focusing on the parents who haven’t been there, she should have been focusing on those who have always been here for her. Scott, Laura and Liz all embrace.

Later, Obrecht arrives with mistletoe over her head, and Scott pulls her into a kiss. Elsewhere, Sonny makes it to Nina’s place.

Maxie arrives at an airport in Alberta, after the plane she took off on in Toronto was forced to land. She’s told by an attendant with this storm, no planes are taking off tonight.

Maxie calls Spinelli and leaves a message asking why he’s not answering his phone. Suddenly Spinelli and Georgie appear. He explains they flew into Canada to drive to Port Charles. They are all thrilled to see one another and share a group hug. They open gifts while dining on airport pizza.

Back in Canada, Ellie gets a call from the man she had just begun dating, Griffin Munroe!

On the next General Hospital: Terry is surprised by Britt. Heather has important information. Robert and Mac negotiate. Dante encourages Cody. Trina and Spencer work together.
