Chase End His Relationship With Brook Lynn — and All Is Not as It Seems With Holly
Wednesday, November 30, 2022: Today on General Hospital, Victor realizes Britt is sick, Portia questions Marshall about his illness, and Miss Wu carries out an important task.
At the cabin near the Canadian border, just as Jordan orders Mac to move in, the cabin explodes, and Holly rushes out in flames. Robert eventually rushes over with a blanket and douses the flames covering Holly.
Later, the paramedics explain Holly has third-degree burns over 70 percent of her body. They are taking her to an airfield to get her to a hospital better equipped to handle her than General Hospital. Robert goes with her, while Mac stays behind to help Jordan.
The paramedics load Holly into an ambulance with Robert by her side. Later by the side of the road, the ambulance stops and the back doors open. Felicia reveals herself to be one of the drivers, and Holly sits up perfectly fine.
They step out, and Holly thanks Felicia, who provides her with a new passport. Holly explains Felicia showed up last night at the cabin and helped her rig the stove to explode when the time was right. She also brought fireproof garments.
Holly further reveals to Felicia that she and Robert staged his drugging and for her to steal the necklace. Holly explains that Ethan’s only chance at survival is if Victor thinks she’s of no use to him. Felicia notes everyone will believe that Holly got on transport halfway across the world to a burn clinic. Holly is just sorry they had to keep Mac in the dark. Felicia believes Mac would understand.
Holy then recalls meeting and giving Miss Wu one of the diamonds from the necklace, in exchange for her giving a drug to Victor. Wu asked her what Victor did to her, and she explained he was holding her son hostage. The drug will pay him back in kind, but it won’t kill him. She’ll never get Ethan back with Victor dead. Wu agreed to help her.
Once Felicia leaves them alone, Holly tells Robert she’s sorry this must be goodbye. She notes this isn’t their moment, and he laughs, “It never is.” Before he can let her go, he asks for the necklace. She laughs that she almost forgot, and hands it over. She wonders why Victor wants it. Robert says it comes from the ice princess and that has something to do with it. She warns him to be careful and blows him a kiss as she walks away.
Back at the cabin, Jordan tells Mac that it appears a faulty stove caused the accident. Mac is handed the remains of Robert’s briefcase, but there is no necklace to be found. He wonders if the fire was so hot that it destroyed the necklace.
At Portia and Curtis’ place Marshall sits outside cleaning his clarinet when Trina tries to sneak out. He expected boredom to drive her out sooner or later. She admits she needs to breathe and feels shut in.
Inside, Portia and Curtis talk about the holiday. Curtis plans to make the most of his time with his father in case his disease returns. He asks what the chances are of that happening. She can’t tell him as that’s not her field. Curtis notes his father claimed he never had another episode since his arrest, and maybe he caught a break. Talk turns to Trina, and Portia wonders where she is.
Back outside, Curtis and Portia find Marshall with Trina. Curtis tells his dad the game is about to start if he wants to watch. Portia and Marshall head in, and Curtis offers Trina the last piece of the pie. She pushes it aside. Trina knows he posted Marshall outside, which Curtis admits he did, but only to watch out for Esme. She accepts the pie and digs in.
Back inside, Portia hopes Marshall will play for them tonight. She asks if his illness ever affected his music. Marshall says it never did, just his ambitions. He wonders why all the questions. She points genetic counseling wasn’t available back when he was diagnosed and he could get it now. Marshall doesn’t think it will tell him anything he doesn’t know. Trina and Curtis return and Marshall puts on the game.
In the Quartermaine kitchen, Chase confronts Brook Lynn and asks if she was ever going to tell him about the letter Dante asked her to write. She’s shocked Dante told him and explains she’s been crazy busy with his career. Chase wonders if she was never planning on telling him or writing the letter. She swears she was going to after they took Linc out. He rants that taking Linc down was never a sure thing, and he can’t think of a single reason why she didn’t tell him.
Brook Lynn cries, “There is only one reason, us.” She sobs that she’s never had anything like she has with him before, and she thought she wasn’t capable of a making true connection with someone. However, he showed her that wasn’t the case. She says even if she never exposes Linc or gets her songs back, she’d be okay because they keep getting closer. She thought that given enough time he’d forget about the badge and want what they have together.
Chase admits the singing thing has been a surprise and it’s been fun. However, he is not a singer. He explains she took away the choice for him to decide the direction of his life. Brook Lynn gets it and he’s hanging up the mic. Chase says, “Yes my singing career is over, but so are we.” She begs him to think about what he’s saying. Chase yells that she kept him from the thing that makes him who he is. He declares it’s over and storms out.
At The Savoy, Britt finds Ava at the bar drinking a martini and orders herself a cosmo. Cody shows up in the background, as does Nikolas. Britt complains to Ava about how long it’s been since she had real relationship sex. It was 2014 the last time and with her husband Nikolas, who approaches them and brags it’s hard to follow the best.
Meanwhile, Obrecht grabs Cody and drags him off to a corner. Obrecht tells Cody that Britt has no time for romance right now. She offers him money to stay away from her daughter. Cody doesn’t want her money.
Cody says he originally wanted the necklace, but then he wanted Britt. He thought he could have both, but now he’s lost them both. He tells Obrecht not to worry, he won’t be a bother to Britt anymore. However, he asks what is wrong with her. Obrecht tells him that answers were never part of the offer.
Ms. Wu finds Victor drinking by himself and joins him. Victor gets a text from Gavin that he’s at the location and trying to get the necklace, though Holly is expendable. They discuss their less-than-stellar recent family holiday, which they mainly spent alone.
Back at the bar, Britt orders another round for her, Ava and Nikolas. Britt suggests Nikolas be her wingman tonight when suddenly she becomes woozy and can’t stand.
Ms. Wu and Victor rush over to Britt, and the others, and Wu asks if Britt has been overserved. Britt snaps she has only had one drink but becomes unstable again. Victor grabs her and leads her to a table. Wu follows, and Britt continues to yell at them to get off her as she can handle her alcohol. Victor soon realizes Britt is sick and this is Faison’s disease. Britt screams, “Don’t say that!” Obrecht appears and pushes Victor away from Britt, and Cody takes Victor for a walk. Britt fears Victor will tell people about her, but Obrecht assures he won’t. Wu meanwhile recalls sending Victor a drink earlier with the drug in it.
Later, Obrecht tells Britt they should go home. She helps her daughter walk out of the club as Cody watches.
Elsewhere, Ava fills Nikolas in on Mac and Kevin believing she can convince Ryan to help them find Esme. Ava will do anything to stop Esme, even if she or he pays the price for her going over the parapet.
Alone, Victor finishes his drugged drink. He gets a text from Gavin that Holly’s disabled and the necklace is missing.
On the next General Hospital: Dante tells Brook Lynn it’s too late now. Nina asks Willow to help out a friend. Carly questions Joss about Dex. Michael takes issues with Dex. Sonny thinks something seems too good to be true.
