Nikolas comforts Esme GH

It’s a new day in Port Charles.

At his gym, Sonny talks to Dante about looking into Esme as the one who made the sex tape. Dante reminds him that he can’t discuss this. Brando arrives in a suit, and they ask what is with his getup. Brando is headed to The Savoy for the Deception IPO launch. Sonny and Dante both commend him on how he and Sasha have weathered a major crisis together and come out stronger.

Dante receives a call and excuses himself. Brando must head out, but thanks Sonny for everything he’s done for him. He says if he can ever repay the favor he’d be honored. Sonny will keep it in mind.

Dante checks in on his dad and how he’s holding up. Sonny tells him that he’s good and they both know there is life after divorce. Dante must leave because he’s been called into work.

At The Savoy, Lucy, Sasha, BLQ and Maxie gush about their trip to Wall Street to launch their IPO. The party gets started as Anna, Felicia and Nina arrive.

Curtis thanks Lucy, BLQ and Gladys for choosing his club to host their party. They’re stunned when Selina arrives. She reveals she’s followed Deception from the beginning and bought a major piece of their stock. Lucy welcomes her and takes her cohorts aside to mingle.

Alone, Curtis tells Selina that she is full of surprises, however, he won’t change his mind about her offer. Selina still believes there is a chance of bringing him to her side. Nina approaches them, and Curtis introduces Nina and Ms. Wu. Nina notes they have a mutual acquaintance, Sonny. Selina says he is a valuable friend, and one can never have too many of those. Ms. Wu excuses herself, and Curtis thinks she is going to be trouble.

Austin arrives at the party, and BLQ is shocked to see them kiss. She angrily confronts Maxie and asks why she didn’t tell her that she’s dating her arch-nemesis. Maxie explains she was going to, but BLQ says Maxie doesn’t owe her anything and storms off.

Brando arrives with flowers, which Gladys immediately thinks are for her and grabs them. He explains they are for Sasha. After handing them to Sasha, she gives Gladys one of the roses.

Later, Lucy asks Sasha as the face of Deception if she could be the voice too and make a speech. Sasha excuses herself to pop some pills. Meanwhile, Austin and BLQ talk. They both admit they don’t like one another, but they care for Maxie. They agree to call a cease-fire and shake hands. Brook Lynn approaches Maxie and tells her if Austin makes her happy then that’s all she cares about.

Lucy introduces Sasha to the stage to say a few words about this amazing day for Deception. Sasha praises the dedicated women she works with, as well as their friends and family for their support. Later they watch the stock market results. The IPO is a success, making them all rich.

At Liz’s place, she wakes up after her nightmare and finds the words, “Don’t Forget Me” on one of Franco’s paintings in fresh red paint. Jake comes down and catches her with it and notes it’s happened again. Aiden follows, and Liz assures the boys she’ll do whatever it takes to protect them, even if she has to do it alone. Jake says she doesn’t have to and makes a call for help.

Scott meets with Ava at Charlie’s and wonders why they are meeting there. He asks, “Is there trouble on Spoon Island?” She answers, “With a capital E.” Ava tells him about Esme moving in along with Spencer, and that she may be pregnant. Meanwhile, Laura and Finn discuss what Liz is going through. Later, Laura overhears Scott saying he can’t believe Esme may be pregnant with a baby Cassadine. Laura hopes she misheard that. Ava explains she doesn’t know if she is pregnant but reveals she walked out on Nikolas because she said it was either her or Esme, and Esme’s still there. Laura plans to get to the bottom of this and storms out.

Ava asks Scott as her lawyer, what she’s entitled to if she walks away from her marriage. Scott advises she not pull the ripcord on the marriage just yet. However, he does suggest she plant her flag and claim her marital property. Ava knows exactly what to do.

Back at Liz’s, Finn arrives after Jake calls him for help. Liz tells them about her strange dream of a man and waking up to find the painting. Finn considers this new piece of evidence a lead and says it’s time to call in reinforcements.

Dante arrives, and Liz reveals she disabled the alarm system because the kids kept accidentally setting it off. Liz fears someone was in her house, and the reason she heard them in her dream is that they stood over her while she slept. Dante agrees this person is getting bolder.

Dante bags the painting to check for prints, and also will need Liz to submit hers to exclude her. Dante also feels they may not be safe there seeing her home has been accessed multiple times. Dante heads out, and Liz tells Finn that she’ll see if the boys can stay with Laura. He asks where she will stay. Liz reveals she’ll stay put in her house and won’t be run out of the home she shared with her husband. Meanwhile, Aiden worries that it isn’t a person doing this, and says to Jake, ‘What if it’s Franco?”

At Wyndemere, Esme finds Spencer has breakfast waiting in the living room for her. She thanks him for thinking of her especially since they know she’s not pregnant. She admits she was afraid he’d kick her out. Nikolas enters and notes there is no reason for her to go anywhere. Spencer swears he’d never let anyone hurt her, not even his Uncle Sonny.

Later, Spencer excuses himself explaining has things to attend to. Nikolas tries to comfort Esme, who knows Spencer is struggling to deal with her being in his home. Laura appears and is shocked to see Nikolas with his arm around Esme. Laura apologizes for interrupting but says she just saw Ava at Charlie’s meeting with her lawyer. She also heard talk that the family could be expanding. Esme explains it was a false alarm and excuses herself.

Laura wonders why her son is being so protective of Esme. He claims he is only looking out for Spencer, and if anything were to happen to Esme then Spencer will feel guilty. Laura knows they don’t want that, but they also don’t want his wife to leave him. Nikolas reveals he stepped in because Spencer first confided in Victor, and he never had a chance to tell that to Ava. She pushes him to work on salvaging his marriage. He excuses himself, and Esme enters. She tries to turn around and leave, but Laura tells her they need to have words.

Laura hopes Esme had nothing to do with this video going around and Esme swears she didn’t. Nikolas returns and states he believes in Esme. Laura hopes Esme won’t betray her son’s trust in her. Ava appears and declares, “They all know the answer to that.”

Spencer arrives at Sonny’s gym to discuss Esme, and why Sonny thought it was okay to scare the hell out of her. Sonny tells Spencer what happened at his restaurant, including Esme’s fake waterworks when Nikolas and Victor arrived. Spencer knows Sonny wouldn’t hurt Esme, but he can’t turn his back on her. Sonny tells him that his loyalty should be to those who have been on his side, and he’s backing the wrong person. Sonny believes Esme is playing a game and will use Spencer to get what she wants. He warns Spencer that his dangerously close to following his mistakes and hurting the people he loves because of his choices.

On the next General Hospital: Nikolas feels Ava’s giving him an ultimatum. Esme makes an emotional plea to Spencer Victor asks Laura what he said to upset her. Stella tells Marshall she needs to know this won’t blow up in her face. And Curtis hopes there won’t be any drama at his and Portia’s housewarming party.
