On the footbridge, Carly gets a call from Willow, but nobody is on the other end. She hangs up and then receives a call from Diane, who is at the PCPD. The lawyer tells her about Michael’s arrest. Carly says she’ll be right there.
At the station, Diane lets Michael, who is in the interrogation room, know that Carly will be there soon. She says due to the time he’s probably in there for the night. Jordan enters and tells Michael he’ll be transferred to holding soon. Michael wants to know what she’s doing to catch who did this to Joss. Jordan only recently learned about the incident, and once she has more concrete information then she’ll let Joss know.
Carly arrives, and Michael fills her in on the reporter. Carly hopes Alexis can shut the story down and takes off.

The sleazy tabloid reporter, Smalls, bursts into Alexis’ office with a scoop. He fills her in on the basics of the sex tape scandal, being assaulted by a high-power family member, and leaving the names out until the end. After learning the victims are Joss and Cam, Alexis asks why Michael punched him. Smalls admits he may have provoked him. Annoyed, she tells him that this is why she doubts his ability to report facts. Smalls wants a byline with The Intruder and this is his big shot. He asks if they have a deal? Carly enters and suggests Alexis think twice about that. Alexis orders the reporter out.
Alexis apologizes to Carly for what Joss is going through but feels that would be a mistake not to publish the story. Alexis warns her this will get out, but if The Intruder breaks it then she can frame the narrative and be respectful. That’s more than how other papers will treat the scandal. Alexis even offers to let Joss and Cam speak out if they chose to. Carly hates that Joss must weigh this decision. Alexis won’t do the story if she doesn’t want her to, but someone else will. Carly says it is Joss’ call, and she’ll let her know. Alexis warns her there isn’t a lot of time.

Back at the hospital, Epiphany joins TJ in insisting Willow be admitted. Willow receives a text that Michael’s being held by the PCPD, and Epiphany points out there is nothing she can do for him now.
Epiphany gets Willow into an exam room and asks if she’s eaten today. Willow is embarrassed she hasn’t. As they talk about Willow jumping from teaching to nursing, she asks Epiphany if she always wanted to be a nurse. Epiphany admits she didn’t, but she loves her job.
Harmony arrives and gets an update from Willow. She becomes irate when Willow hasn’t been seen by a doctor and takes up the issue with Epiphany at the nurses’ station. Epiphany explains that doctors have to prioritize the patients based on how critical they are. Harmony begs Epiphany that there must be something she can do for Willow. Later, they return to Willow’s room. Willow asks her mom to grab her a sandwich from the cafeteria to get her out of the way. A doctor enters to find Epiphany starting an IV and asks exactly what is going on.
In the hall, Doctor Nelson chastises Epiphany for showing favoritism to a nurse and stepping out of line to give the patient an IV without a doctor’s orders. He tells her to finish the treatment he started and departs. Later, Epiphany vents to Willow that she’s been a nurse longer than these doctors have been practicing and wishes she had a job with a more active role in treating the patients. Willow points out she changed her career, maybe it’s time for Epiphany to make a change.
Harmony eventually returns with a sandwich for Willow, and they embrace. At the nurses’ station, Epiphany does an internet search on taking the MCATs.

Sonny still loves Joss and wants to be there for her, but Michael says he’s incapable of putting anyone in front of Nina. Sonny loses his cool and screams “What do you want from me?!”
Sonny refuses to have Nina used against him any longer. Sonny hopes one day he’ll understand the choices he had to make, and departs.
