Jack Wagner’s ‘When Calls the Heart’ Season Seven Premiere Features Romance & Big Decisions
Soap opera vet’s heartwarming Hallmark series debuts seventh season of romance and drama.
As Soaps.com reported in April 2019, When Calls the Heart season 7 is set to premiere this year on Hallmark Channel and Super Channel Heart & Home in Canada, and we’ve got the details on the season opener. The series, which elected to move forward without Lori Loughlin as Mayor Abigail Stanton on the heels of her becoming embroiled in the college admissions scandal, and which stars soap opera alum Jack Wagner, who played Bold and Beautiful’s Nick Marone and General Hospital’s Frisco Jones, will debut its seventh season on Sunday February 23 at 8:00 PM EST and shared photos and videos of the cast online as part of the kick-off for the new season.
The premiere episode, A Moving Picture, will feature romance and big decisions as Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) and Nathan (Kevin McGarry) navigate a relationship that is walking the line between friendship and love, and Elizabeth shares her manuscript, a product of her renewed passion for writing, with Lucas (Chris McNally) but finds she’s unprepared to hear his honest critique. Meanwhile, a journalist arrives in town to do a profile on Gowan (Martin Cummins), who is concerned about what Bill (Wagner) and others may have to say about him. A planned anniversary getaway for Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) and Lee (Kavan Smith) goes awry due to conflicts with work, Jesse (Aren Buchholz) and Clara (Eva Bourne) make plans for their wedding, and Faith (Andrea Brooks) and Carson (Paul Greene) reach a crossroads in their relationship when Faith is offered a job outside of Hope Valley.
The second episode of When Calls the Heart’s seventh season entitled The Heart of a Father, surrounds Nathan weighing broken promises from his past against the benefits of reconciling his family when he receives an unexpected visit from his father. Slated to air Sunday March 2 at 8:00 PM EST, this installment will see Nathan torn between wanting to protect his niece from her grandfather, a former convict, and her desire to learn more about her late mother by getting to know him. In trying to be supportive of Nathan, Elizabeth hosts a sleepover for his niece. Elsewhere in Hope Valley, Bill and Lucas team up when a concerning rumor about food poisoning negatively affects their businesses, Faith considers the job offer that would take her away from the town, and Carson suggests a different career path for her. Also in this installment, Rosemary’s feelings are hurt when Clara and Elizabeth ignore her well-intentioned advice, while Jesse asks Lee for tips on how to have a happy marriage.
