Jane Elliot Back to General Hospital for Christmas
A Quartermaine holiday surprise on General Hospital.
Her granddaughter Brook Lynn Ashton just returned to Port Charles in the form of former One Life to Live actress Amanda Setton (Kimberly Andrews), and now Soaps.com has discovered that her granny Tracy Quartermaine will be following suit. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Jane Elliot will reprise her legendary role in December for the holidays. As to be expected, she will get involved in ELQ business. Elliot was last seen in Port Charles on May 4, 2017 when Tracy Quartermaine left for Europe, where she naturally ran into the love of her life Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary). Per the photo the entertainment outlet posted, Europe has changed Tracy at least in the looks department as she has gone from being a brunette to a blonde.
It should be interesting to see what drama Tracy will bring with her when she returns, considering before she left, she warned Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) he better take good care of her daddy’s company. She’ll also presumably get reacquainted with Brook Lynn, who Tracy hasn’t had the smoothest relationship with, but who her son Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) pointed out was just like her grandmother. Hopefully, viewers will get to see her reconnect with Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan), as the two always had a special relationship, and interact with Luke’s ex Laura Spencer Collins (Genie Francis), who shared a mutual respect with Tracy before she left. And of course, she must have at least one fight with sister-in-law Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson).
Before leaving General Hospital, Elliot told TV Insider she was retiring because, “I want to use a different part of my brain—that part where I don’t have to learn lines, put on makeup, wonder if my roots are showing or think about my weight.” She later added, “I want the freedom to expand in some new way, and I don’t yet know what that new way is … I want to see where my imagination takes me!”
