General Hospital star reveals her latest accomplishment.

Soaps.com congratulates General Hospital’s Laura Wright (Port Charles’ Carly Corinthos) on earning her certification in becoming a meditation teacher. She took to Instagram to reveal the news and thank her teacher. “I can’t really can’t put into words what went down at the ‘Sweet Spot.’ However, I can tell you I am now a certified Meditation Teacher and forever grateful for my teacher the Master davidji.” Her teacher, davidji, is a master of meditation, an award-winning author, a spoken-word artist and the founder of The Meditation Academy. The program at the academy is a combination of 285 hours of reading, online webinar courses, video and audio training, which culminate in a 7-day in-residence program at The Meditation Nest in Carlsbad, California. There with davidji and other students, one will individually and collectively peel away layers, absorb timeless wisdom, and awaken to your best versions. The program offers the student a way to connect with the greatest teachers of Vedanta, Buddhism, spirituality, emotional healing and mind-body wellness from ancient texts to modern-day translations. Students also receive their personal mantra, learn other powerful mantras, practice various meditation and breathing techniques to create higher states of consciousness, and gain a deeper understanding of what happens to your body, mind and emotions when you meditate.

The actress has always been very healthy and body-conscious. This past summer Wright broke her foot after falling down some steps. She immediately planned a Beach Body Challenge to begin on September 30, when she would be able to walk again, calling it the Laura Can Walk Challenge. She encouraged her followers to join her in partaking in the challenge. She offers her followers fitness advice and programs through her Instagram account and the hashtag #teamlaura. Outside of work, Wright enjoys spending time with her children, her partner Wes Ramsey (Peter August) and enjoying the great outdoors.
