General Hospital actor reveals another side of himself.

General Hospital’s Wes Ramsey, who Soaps.com readers know as Port Charles resident Peter August, is about to release his second collection of poetry, Into The Black. It’s a follow-up to his first collection, Salt & Sand, which he released in 2014 and has since been retired. Into The Black is a larger, full volume of poetry, comprised of pieces written by Ramsey between 2002 and 2017. It is a raw look inside the journey of life’s struggles and the beauty of the gift within those struggles that make us who we are. The collection is an intimate glimpse into the heart and mind of an artist who has endured. The volume will be exclusively available on Ramsey’s website on Thursday October 31. Of the collection, Ramsey said on Instagram, “All my life I’ve written. I never knew where it came from or why I started, I just knew I had to do it. All these years later so much about it is still a mystery to me, but I’ve long since embraced it as a calling in my life, but only more recently as a deeply personal gift to share with the world. With that said, I’m proud to announce that four weeks from today, on Halloween, I will release INTO THE BLACK as the second volume of my work. I hope it finds its way to those it belongs with…”

Ramsey joined General Hospital in 2017 as Peter August, whose real name is Henrik Faison. He is the son of Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), though recently Anna suspected he might be her twin sister’s Alex Marick, whose memories were implanted in Anna. Ramsey is also dating his co-star Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos). Ramsey and Wright have two special fan events coming up in January. On January 25 they will be at Rockwell’s in Pelham, New York. On January 26 they will be at Uncle Vinnie’s in Point Pleasant, New Jersey.
