General Hospital actor turned director lands another directing job.
General Hospital’s Kimberly McCullough (Robin Scorpio-Drake) has been making a name for herself as a director, directing popular television shows such as It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Connors, Pretty Little Liars, and One Day at a Time, amongst other shows. Soaps.com can now confirm that the actor/director has revealed on Instagram that she’ll be directing the fifth episode of the second season of The CW’s re-imagining of Roswell New Mexico, which is set to premiere in 2020.
The original Roswell ran on what was then The WB for two seasons beginning in 1999, before moving to UPN for its third and final season. It was based on the Roswell High young adult book series, written by Melinda Metz and edited by Laura J. Burns, who also wrote the television show. It starred Jason Behr (Dawson’s Creek) as Max Evans, Katherine Heigl (Grey’s Anatomy) as Isabel Evans and Brendan Fehr (The Night Shift) as Michael Guerin. The show centered around the three seemingly normal teens living in Rosewell, New Mexico, who turned out to be aliens whose shipped crashed back in 1947.
The show was re-imagined by The CW and began airing its first season in the winter of 2019. In the updated version, the young daughter of undocumented immigrants returns to her hometown of Roswell to find that her teenage crush is now a police officer, and an extraterrestrial. It stars Jeanine Mason in the lead role of Liz Ortecho (Bunheads), while General Hospital alum Nathan Parson (Ethan Lovette) plays one of the aliens, Max Evans.
