General Hospital actor in film surrounding a washed-up intelligence officer.

General Hospital fans can look forward to seeing Jon Lindstrom (Port Charles’ Kevin Collins and Ryan Chamberlain) in the upcoming indie drama Marzipan. Soaps.com has learned the film began shooting at the end of July. Lindstrom revealed the news on Instagram and posted, “Some early morning movie fun with old pal Molly C. Quinn and new friend Reece Noi. @griffithobservatory #makingmovies @mollycaitlynquinn @itsreecenoi #ILoveMyJob.” Marzipan tells the story of a washed-up alcoholic intelligence officer who is given the chance for one last mission, romancing and recruiting an asset connected to the Saudi royal family. However, the officer and the asset end up bonding over their troubled pasts, realize both are incredibly lonely, and the two form a unique bond and plot to escape their problematic lives together.

Tamara Taylor, best known for playing Dr. Camille Saroyan in Fox’s Bones, has been cast as the troubled intelligence officer. Reece Noir (When They See UsGame of Thrones) plays Camden, the asset that Taylor’s character sets out to recruit. Lindstrom plays George in the film, which also features Fred Melamed (The Spy Who Dumped Me) as James and Casey Adams (Dunkirk) as Peter.

Marzipan is written and directed by Adam Christian Clark (Caroline and Jackie). The film is being financed and co-produced by QWGmire, and is their feature debut. QWGmire is a team made up of actor and producer Molly C. Quinn, (Castle), executive producer and financier Matthew M. Welty, and writer and producer Elan Gale (Midnight Mass). Serving as producers on the film are Quinn, David Grove Churchill Viste (Flock of Four), and Jordan Michaud-Scorza (Newly Single). It’s being executive produced by Welty, Adam Hendricks (Newly Single), Greg Gilreath (Cam) and Zac Locke (Get Out). Marzipan has a tentative 2020 release date.
