Although we haven’t seen him on General Hospital lately, Tristan Rogers (Robert) isn’t leaving Daytime behind. He is currently working on a new web series that takes a look at the public and private lives of soap stars called “Reality Bytes.”

Still in development, this new project comes from writer and web designer Kate Lange, who presented the idea to Tristan, who in turn felt the story was “a balanced look at what goes on behind the scenes of a soap.” He furthered his enthusiasm for the project in a statement on his website saying, “It endeavored to address many of the elements that are overlooked today and have always been part of the soap tradition. I felt it was a good place to start, and so it evolved.”

Hoping to take full advantage of the web as their medium, Tristan and Kate aim to combine classic soap elements: character driven stories, rich histories, meaningful plots and multigenerational relationships, with innovative and unique production methods.

While we miss Tristan on General Hospital, Soaps.com looks forward to seeing his online version of Daytime.
