General Hospital actor celebrating his engagement.

Updated July 8: Congratulations to General Hospital’s Josh Swickard (Harrison Chase), who over the weekend married Lorynn York in a beautiful church ceremony.

On December 29, 2019, Soaps.com wrote Josh Swickard (Port Charles’ Harrison Chase), who is the latest General Hospital actor to announce his engagement over the holidays. The actor proposed to his girlfriend Lorynn York while on a skiing vacation, and the couple shared the news on Instagram. Swickard wrote, “I have always had a hard time posting about my private life. However I can’t keep this to myself, l just asked this beautiful girl to spend the rest of her life with me. @lorynnyork I love you so much and I can’t wait to grow old with you.” York also shared the news stating,” Introducing my future HUSBAND! @joshswickard 💍 I am the luckiest girl on this planet!!!! Never have I experienced a friendship so wonderful, a love so deep, and a life so full of JOY until I met this man. Here’s to forever baby! Thank you Lord for creating the most incredible person for me. I AM SO HAPPY.”

Josh Swickard joined General Hospital in February as Detective Harrison Chase, brother to Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton). Swickard was born in Illinois and moved to Chicago to study accounting at the College of Dupage. However, he left after two years to begin a career in modeling, landing jobs with magazines such as Men’s Health and Sports Illustrated, as well as companies like Guess, Jockey and Finish Line. He appeared in the Disney Channel shows Liv and Maddie and K.C. Undercover before joining General Hospital. His fiancée York was born in Ohio, but raised in North Carolina. She trained as a ballerina at the prestigious School of American Ballet in New York City and at the Chautauqua Institution in New York. She also began acting in high school and had a small role in the movie Rosemont and has appeared on television shows such as The Neighbors and Anatomy of Violence, as well as SyFy’s Lava 2 Lantula!
