Billy Miller’s Showtime ‘Ray Donovan’ season five role
From Port Charles to Los Angeles.
Soaps.com has learned that “General Hospital’s” Billy Miller (Jason Morgan) has landed a multiple episode role on Showtime’s “Ray Donovan,” which has been reported by TVLine. He will appear for at least four episodes as Todd Doherty, a cop who butts heads with his sister Maureen’s fiancé, Terry Donovan (Eddie Marsan). “Ray Donovan” is set to return sometime this summer for its fifth season.
“Ray Donovan” stars Live Schreiber (“Scream 2”) as the title character, an Irish American originally from South Boston who works for a powerful law firm representing the rich and famous. Donovan is a fixer, someone who arranges bribes, makes payoffs, and sometimes gets violent to ensure the outcome desired by the client. He is the head of his family, which includes his older boxer brother Terry (Marsan, “Sherlock Holmes”) and younger alcoholic brother Bunchy (Dash Mihok, “Romeo + Juliet”). Donovan’s life is turned upside down when his father Mickey Donovan (Jon Voight, “Midnight Cowboy”) is released from prison, arrives in L.A., and inserts himself back into his family’s life. The FBI begins to investigate Donovan and his family, leading him to struggle to hold them together. “Ray Donovan” has been nominated for a slew of awards, including multiple nominations for Schreiber and Voight in acting categories. Voight won a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor in a Series, Miniseries or Television Film in 2014. Hank Azaria (“The Simpsons”) won a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series in 2016 for his role as Ed Cochran.
