General Hospital to host its first annual official convention
Actors come out for the first official show convention.
“General Hospital” has announced its first official convention, to be held from March 11 to 12 at the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Hotel Convention Center. The hotel is located just a few miles from the “GH” studio, where the adventures of the residents of Port Charles are filmed. The convention is still being planned, and Soaps.com will be sure to keep you up to date on the latest news about it.
In a statement about the convention, Executive Producer Frank Valentini said, “We have the greatest fans in the world and it’s our goal to get together with them in an all immersive, all ‘General Hospital’ weekend of fun, sharing stories, laughter and celebration of the show we all love so much.” The weekend will be hosted by Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos) and Matt Cohen (Griffin Munro). Also slated to appear will be Rebecca Budig (Hayden Barnes), Leslie Charleson (Monica Quartermaine), Chad Duell (Michael Corinthos), Sonya Eddy (Epiphany Johnson), Kathleen Gati (Liesl Obrecht), Carolyn Hennesy (Diane Miller), Roger Howarth (Franco), Wally Kurth (Ned Ashton), Chloe Lanier (Nelle Hayes), Brooklyn Silzer (Emma Drake), James Patrick Stuart (Valentin Cassadine), Donnell Turner (Curtis Ashford), Maura West (Ava Jerome), Dominic Zamprogna (Dante Falconeri) and Jackie Zeman (Bobbie Spencer). More actors are expected to be added in the coming weeks.
The weekend will include live entertainment, Q&A panels, meet and greet sessions, games, set piece design elements, photo and autograph ops, merchandise, and a red carpet posing area. Pricing has not yet been announced, and tickets are expected to go on sale at Creation Entertainment.
