“I then got down on one knee under what I will always remember as the most…”

Back in March, Soaps.com alerted readers to a new couple when “General Hospital’s” Robb Derringer announced his relationship with Dancing With the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba. People is reporting that Derringer proposed to Inaba with a ring by designer Jean Dousset on Saturday December 10 on a secluded California beach, the site of their very first date, and she said yes!

“Saturdays are special to us, because our first date was on a Saturday and we have celebrated with a toast, a visit to a beach, special date, a motorcycle adventure, or a road trip on every Saturday since,” Inaba told People. “So on Saturday, we returned to the place of our first date and got engaged at the same place we shared our spontaneous and magical first date.”

Of the proposal, Derringer revealed to People, “I’m a better writer than a speaker so I chose to share my thoughts with Carrie in a letter expressing how much she meant to me, how much she had changed me, how much she had taught me in our time together thus far and what my hopes and dreams and intentions were for our future together. I then got down on one knee under what I will always remember as the most serene and tranquil night sky I’ve ever seen and asked my beautiful girl if she would do me the honor of being my wife, to which she thankfully replied yes.”

The couple lives together in Los Angeles, California with their three rescued dogs, a cat, a raven and a fish. Inaba also runs her Animal Project Foundation, which supports the rescue, welfare and well-being of animals. Derringer played Special Agent Kyle Sloane on “General Hospital” from 2014 to 2015 and will be playing sex addict Scooter Nelson on Days of our Lives in 2017. He also appeared briefly as a DA on “All My Children” in 2010.

Soaps.com congratulates the couple and wishes them a lifetime full of happiness. As of yet, a wedding date has not been set but Derringer and Inaba told People it’ll be on a Saturday.
