
General Hospital’s Genie Francis and Finola Hughes sign new contracts

ABC has announced that two popular actresses have signed new contracts to keep them on “General Hospital.” Both Genie Francis (Laura Spencer) and Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) with remain in Port Charles for some time to come.
“We are thrilled that Genie and Finola will continue to make ‘General Hospital’ their home for years to come,” said executive producer Frank Valentini. “These enormously talented actresses have created timeless characters that resonate with our fans.”
Hughes also sent out the following congratulatory tweet:

Genie Francis recently returned to General Hospital after a short leave of absence, and extended her original stay on the show past Tony Geary’s (ex-Luke Spencer) departure. Hughes also just returned from time off, during which she directed the film The Byrd and the Bees. Francis joined “GH” in 1977, and Hughes came onboard in 1983.
