“General Hospital’s” Nicolas Bechtel (Port Charles’ Spencer Cassadine) appears in the new film “Underdog Kids,” which releases today on DVD and on-demand. The film was written, directed and stars Phillip Rhee as a karate instructor who takes on a bunch of inner city kids from a poor neighborhood to train for a karate tournament. The film is part “Rocky” and part “Karate Kid.” Bechtel plays Sean, one of the underdogs, and the little brother of fellow underdog Alex (Aidan Considine). The film also stars Beau Bridges (“The Millers”), Tom Arnold (“Roseanne”) and Lauren Bowles (“True Blood”).

Bechtel recently guest starred on the Grey’s Anatomy episode Where do we go from here? He also appeared as young Jordy in Red Band Society on Fox. Watch the trailer for “Underdog Kids” right here on Soaps.com.
