Genie Francis returns to General Hospital for extended stay
A familiar face comes back again.

Genie Francis made her return to “General Hospital” on June 5 by crashing Tracy (Jane Elliot) and Luke’s (Anthony Geary) engagement party. Francis’ return is part of the storyline surrounding Geary’s departure from the show this summer. Now Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Francis will be staying on past Geary’s departure and into the fall.

It’s the news that many fans have been waiting for. Legendary “General Hospital” star Genie Francis (Laura) will be heading back to the soap. Executive Producer Frank Valentini just tweeted:

No information about when she will be back has been released yet, but Soaps.com will update you when it becomes available.
Francis shot to fame for her work on "GH" starting in 1976. She has come and gone for nearly forty years, taking home a Daytime Emmy for her work in 1981. Along with Anthony Geary (Luke), she was half of one of Daytime's most beloved supercouples. Her character was last seen in Port Charles in 2013. Francis has also had roles on "All My Children," "Days of our Lives," and "The Young and the Restless."
