General Hospital To Air Live Shows During May Sweeps
Original article April 2:
"General Hospital" will air two live shows in May according to People. The shows, airing May 15 and 18, will be broadcast from Los Angeles and the cast will perform each episode twice, so that both the East and West Coasts see live performances.
"It's live television and absolutely anything can happen, but that is what's fun about this and we're absolutely up to the challenge," said executive producer and head writer Frank Valentini of the endeavor.
Fans are encouraged to tweet on the days of the live broadcasts using the hashtag #GHlive. General Hospital celebrated 52 years on air on April 1 with a special flashback episode that revealed the truth about what happened to Luke and his family 52 years ago.
