Casting award.

“General Hospital’s” casting director Mark Teschner received an Artios Award last night at the 30th Artios Awards Ceremony for excellence in casting for a daytime drama. Teschner was up against Marnie Saitta and Bob Lambert from “Days of our Lives” and Judy Blye Wilson and Greg Salmon from “The Young and the Restless.”

“Artios” is ancient Greek for “perfectly fitted.” The Artios Awards are presented by the Casting Society of America. Members of the CSA are honored in over twenty different casting categories for work in film, television and the theatre. The criteria for being nominated are originality, creativity and the contribution of casting to the overall quality of a project. The winners are selected by members in good standing of the Casting Society of America.
