It’s no wonder that Dr. Noah Drake hasn’t swung by to see his only granddaughter yet. Rick Springfield has been one busy guy. He’s been promoting his album, “My Precious One” and touring at the same time.
The album is different from his trademark rocker style. It’s a collection of heartfelt original songs that he wrote years ago when his two sons were babies. “As as songwriter, I wanted to commemorate the birth of our children. Since neither of them were good sleepers, it seemed like a good idea to write some lullabies,” Rick has said of the collection. “I rediscovered them last year, stuck in the back of a drawer in my music room. They brought back so many good memories that I decided to rerecord and share them.”
As for Rick’s tour, new dates and cities continue to be added so fans are encouraged to visit his web site often. In addition, Rick recently did a live show at Los Angeles’s famous Key Club to benefit the children of Uganda.
The 2nd Annual Rick Springfield & Friends “Sun Dazed & Star-Filled Nights” cruise is currently in the planning stages. The Miami departure date is November 12, 2009 and fans can get involved by visiting his site.
Let’s hope that there’s a break in Rick’s schedule soon so that his General Hospital fans can see him soon. In the meantime, he’s certainly not hard to find!
