New project.

Deadline is reporting that former “General Hospital: Night Shift” head writer Sri Rao has a new project underway. Rao is working on “White House Confidential,” an hour long drama set in the White House. It will examine things in an upstairs-downstairs way from viewpoint of a doctor with skeletons in her closet.

NBC has purchased the series. It will be produced by Craig Zadan and Neil Meron (“Smash,” “Drop Dead Diva”).
