Leaving town.

According to Soap Opera Digest, Jason Cook (Matt) will be exiting the ABC soap in June. This won’t come as much of a surprise to anyone who has been watching where his character’s story has been headed recently. The actor joined the show in 2008. Since that time he has appeared in two films, “Son Of An Afghan Farmer” and “Turbulent Skies,” as well as completing a third, “Young Again.”

His official final air date has not yet been released. No word yet on whether or not the character may be recast.
