General Hospital As Primetime Series?

New format?
With “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” getting canceled and Katie Couric’s talk show prepped for the fall Daytime lineup, there’s a lot of worry about what will become of “General Hospital.” TV Guide Magazine just might have the answer should the remaining ABC soap get bumped from its current timeslot: Primetime.
According to the entertainment outlet, one idea being thrown around in regards to “General Hospital” is moving it to Primetime as a short run summer series. They likened the format to that of a Spanish language telenovela. As reported, even if the show doubled a typical soap budget, it would still be considered inexpensive for a nighttime series.
What do you think? Would you watch “General Hospital” in Primetime?
