Soaps.com Interviews General Hospital’s John Ingle
“I know the whole quality is going to change.”
Soaps.com caught up with John Ingle (Edward) in the green room at the General Hospital Fan Club Main Cast Event on July 23. Since he was in charge of wrangling the actors for the big Q&A at the luncheon, we only had him for a short time, but we still managed to get a little preview of what’s to come in Port Charles.
When we brought up the fact that Alan (Stuart Damon) was returning to General Hospital, the Quartermaine patriarch responded, “Yes, just for a short time, I think. Unfortunately they killed him. The worst thing they could have ever done was to kill him, but they did. Of course, they’ve brought people back from the dead before, so who knows.”
Is he seeing big changes now that Garin Wolf is the head writer? “As far as I can tell, but I don’t know…I only know my story involvement. I don’t know the other stories,” he replied. “I know the whole quality is going to change because he wants to do more evidently family and group and Jill [Farren Phelps, executive producer] said the other day in a meeting, ‘You’ll be happy because you’ll all have a story.’ Which is new. A lot of us haven’t had a story for some time.”
