“General Hospital” winners.
The 38th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards aired last night and “General Hospital” received recognition in the actor categories. Held at the Las Vegas Hilton, Laura Wright won Outstanding Lead Actress for her work as Carly Corinthos Jacks, while Jonathan Jackson won in the Outstanding Supporting Actor category for his portrayal of Lucky Spencer.
After decades of being part of the soap industry, this was Laura’s first nomination. Jonathan had previously won in 1995, 1998 and 1999 for the same role in the Younger Actor category.
