Tamara Braun’s New Orleans Premier (December 15)
Carly #2 may have left General
Hospital in 2005, but her lovely portrayer, Tamara Braun, has been one busy lady. Perhaps her most notable performance has been in the film festival darling, “Little Chenier” – which premiers this weekend in New Orleans. The premier is bound to be a star-studded event because it benefits the survivors of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
The movie, set in a Cajun town in the Louisiana Bayou, tells the moving story of a man who cares for his mentally challenged brother while tending
to his own broken heart. (Could Tamara be the culprit?) Tamara has said publicly that her experience with the beauty of the land and people of the region really moved her. Also starring in the film are Johnathon Schaech, Fred Koehler, Jeremy Davidson, Isabella Hofmann, Clifton Collins Jr. and Chris Mulkey.
"Little Chenier" has already won Best Picture at the Phoenix Film Festival and Best Actress (for Tamara!) at the Honolulu International Film Fest. After the New Orleans premier, the film is scheduled to release in New York, Los Angeles and other major cities. If you want to learn more about it, go to the Little Chenier Website.
Soaps.com sends a hearty congratulations to Tamara and wishes her continued success. As always, we'll be there for the ride!
