First General Hospital’s Kristina, Now Molly: Here’s Why Haley Pullos Is Being Replaced

Once again, General Hospital viewers are going to see one of Port Charles’ characters with a very different face, as the ABC soap will be temporarily recasting the role of Molly. Soap Opera Digest is reporting that due to an injury, Haley Pullos will be taking a medical leave of absence with Holiday Mia Kriegel stepping in as Alexis’ daughter beginning the week of May 22.
“Unfortunately, I was involved in an automobile accident and I’m doing okay, but I am going to need a little time to recover,” Pullos explained to the magazine. “I will be back as soon as possible!”
This isn’t the only change that has hit the Davis girls recently… Earlier this month, word came that Lexi Ainsworth would be leaving the role of Kristina. “After 10 transformative years, both personally and for my character, I will be leaving,” the actress informed then went on to share what she’s currently working on these days. Though Pullos’ recast will be temporary, Ainsworth’s exit resulted in bringing on Days of Our Lives alum Kate Mansi (ex-Abigail) to take the reins and make the role her own.
As for Kriegel, though new to daytime, she’s turned up in such shows as Animal Kingdom and Bull — and we couldn’t help but notice that she has a striking resemblance to Pullos.
Soaps.com welcomes Kriegel to the Port Charles soap, even if it’s for a little while, and of course, we wish Pullos a speedy recovery so she can return to the role soon!
In other news, daytime is mourning the devastating loss of General Hospital’s Jacklyn Zeman… hear what her friends and soap family had to say about the beloved actress who played the role of Bobbie since 1977.
