Drat, He Got the Hook: General Hospital’s Michael Blake Kruse Exits as the Killer Claims Another Victim
It was only a matter of time before the Hook Killer stuck again and this time Rory was at the end of the deadly snare. And as much as we loved having a new cop on the Port Charles police force, this also means that Michael Blake Kruse’s time is up on General Hospital.
On Thursday, December 15, Kruse shared an Instagram story with a photo of his character with two XXs over his eyes labeled: “R.I.P. Rory… You gotta be quicker than that.”
Those watching the Wednesday, December 14, episode of the ABC soap, when it all began to unfold, got a front row seat to Rory, Dante and Jordan’s conversation about the Hook Killer and how it had been two months since their last victim, Oz, was taken out. Dante also shared an update on the poison found on the end of the hook and later, before Rory dropped off a report on Dante’s desk, he snapped a photo of the file’s contents then decided to follow up on a lead on his own.
He then went to the address listed in the file and when no one answered upon his announcement that the PCPD was outside, Rory found the apartment door unlocked and made his way in — that’s when viewers heard the door slam loudly behind him! Soon, the hook appeared and Rory fired his gun. Dante, who turned up outside the door, heard shots, called it in then kicked in the apartment door and found a man dead on the floor — likely the man who Rory came to talk to, one who met the hook’s fate.

Rory then reappeared from another room, stabbed, and fell to the couch… Jordan showed up shortly after with two cops and they raced Rory to the hospital, where he underwent surgery and was administered the antivenom.
After Jordan had Curtis bring Trina to the hospital, Portia appeared and relayed that Rory had lost a lot of blood and was very weak. Rory was soon wheeled out and Trina rushed to his side, where he managed to again profess his love before he succumbed to his injuries and coded.
Naturally, Trina is going to be left devastated. Even though she was torn between Rory and Spencer, and admitted to Josslyn that in the end, she was drawn to the Cassadine, she still cared for but didn’t love Rory, who had recently professed his love to her. And his death is going to weigh heavily on her emotions, especially when she had been looking for Rory to tell him that she didn’t feel the same way he did. This girl can’t catch a break!

Kruse created the role back in March and though his time on the soap was shortlived, we wish him the very best on his future endeavors.
