General Hospital Surprises Fans With a Familiar Nikolas Recast

General Hospital fans may have noticed that Nikolas looks a little different on the Monday, November 14 episode as Adam Huss filled in for Marcus Coloma as Nikolas. Of course, while the popular character may look different, we can bet he’s also familiar as this isn’t the first time Huss has assumed the role!

It’s been just over a year since his last appearance, but the actor did step in back at the end of September 2021 for a quick visit to Port Charles as Spencer’s dad. This time around, he’s showing up just as things are really getting interesting with Esme pregnant having temporarily escaped Nikolas’ clutches. She was recaptured, of course, but not before Liz spotted her!

Though this time, he didn’t tease his appearance, Huss did share a photo on Instagram just a couple hours before General Hospital aired with the caption, “Back at it… #actorslife.”

This isn’t Huss’ first rodeo as Nikolas!

Huss, as we noted before, has done his share of daytime across all three networks, having appeared on Days of Our Lives back when it was on NBC, impersonated Miguel on Passions and was murdered by Sheila over on The Bold and the Beautiful with her infamous bees back when his character, Lance, decided that maybe he didn’t want to conspire with her after all.

Ain’t that always the way? At least on General Hospital, we’re pretty sure he won’t be dying! Unless Esme gets her hands on some bees while she tries to escape again… Yikes.

Either way, we welcome Huss back and though there’s no word on what brought on the temporary recast, we’re glad he was around to help make sure Nikolas’ story doesn’t lose an ounce of momentum!
