General Hospital’s Surprise Nikolas Recast Promises ‘Juicy Stuff’

On Wednesday, September 29, Nikolas is going to look a bit different on General Hospital. Though there are no official details as to why a temporary recast has occurred, we can tell you that Adam Huss will be filling in for Marcus Coloma in the popular role.
Huss alerted his followers on Instagram that he would be heading to Port Charles. “I heard a little rumor that I’ll be on General Hospital this week, getting to play Nikolas Cassadine for a moment,” the actor shared and urged everyone to tune in to ABC “for the juicy stuff!”
He went on to speak about all of the “amazing folks and consummate professionals” he got to work with, including Maura West (Ava) and Kin Shriner (Scott), as well as casting director Mark Teschner and “his amazing crew.”

Huss is no stranger to daytime and has had roles on CBS and NBC soap operas — that’s why he may seem familiar to some fans. In 2006, he appeared as Miguel’s impostor on Passions as well as played Lance, alongside Kimberlin Brown’s Sheila, on The Bold and the Beautiful in 2002 — and first appeared on soaps as a patron on Days of Our Lives that same year.
Huss’ Port Charles appearance couldn’t have come at a more exciting time since Nikolas is currently trying to make amends with his son Spencer while fighting for Ava.
