Soaps.com can confirm that soap opera alum Real Andrews will return to General Hospital as Marcus Taggert, former Port Charles PD detective and nemesis of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), beginning on Friday January 17. The actor first appeared in the role in 1998 and was last seen in May 2003. Real Andrews recently underwent surgery for cancer and has appeared in various soap operas including Days of our Lives (Hal Michaels, 2016 – 2017), All My Children (Agent Trumbull, 2011), As the World Turns (Walker Daniels, 2003 – 2004), Santa Barbara (Danny Guerra, 1992) and played his General Hospital counterpart on Port Charles from 1998 to 1999.
