Coby Ryan McLaughlin as Shiloh on General Hospital

Updated September 27: Coby Ryan McLaughlin’s run on General Hospital as Shiloh Archer came to an end on September 26, as detailed in Soaps.com’s recap in which Sam shot Shiloh in the back. However this being General Hospital, one can’t be certain he won’t pop up as a ghost from time to time.

On September 20 Soaps.com revealed that Coby Ryan McLaughlin is departing General Hospital as Shiloh Archer. The actor revealed the news initially on the podcast You May Have Seen with Brian Lafontaine, and later in an Instagram story on his personal account. In the story the actor states, “Hey guys, I just want to give a shoutout to everybody that made the experience I had on General Hospital so absolutely incredible. Um, I’ve never been involved in a show like that before and I’ve never seen such incredible fans. You guys are truly amazing. I had an incredible time and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for making me feel so welcome even if you wanted to f’in hate me and it’s true, he was a pretty despicable guy, but I’m, I’m glad I got to have the experience. I am glad I got to reach out to meet some of you and, hey man, onward and upward. I hope all is well with everyone out there and uh, I’ll see y’all around.” Soaps.com will keep viewers informed on McLaughlin’s last airdate when it’s made available.
