Updated September 13: James Read will return to General Hospital as Gregory Chase, the father of Harrison Chase and Hamilton Finn, the week of September 17. His arrival comes just as Chase and Finn have been working on their relationship, as detailed in Soaps.com’s recaps. The news was reported by Soap Opera Digest.

Soaps.com reported on May 31 that that James Read has been cast on General Hospital as Gregory Chase, the father of Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton.) Read previously played Clyde Weston on Days of our Lives and last appeared in October of 2017. He is set to make his GH debut on June 6.
