Born as Vinessa Lynn Antoine in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1983, she began studying classical ballet at age 4. After she was 18, she studied for three years with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in New York. She also toured with musician Sean “P. Diddy” Combs for six months.
