But acting was always her calling and she became quite famous as a cult horror "scream queen." Wallace’s most famous roles include Elliott’s mother Mary in the blockbuster "E.T. the Extra Terrestrial," as well as roles in "The Hills Have Eyes," "The Howling," "The Stepford Wives," "Halloween" and "Cujo." In fact, she has appeared in more than 100 movies and nearly just as many television shows, including "The Office," "Ally McBeal" and "Bones."

Wallace made her soap opera debut in March 2015 when she was cast as the long-lost sister of Luke and Bobbie Spencer, Patricia.
