After learning just how dirty dad Victor Newman was willing to play to win, Victoria packed it in and moved to Italy to study art history. She only returned to Genoa City (with Amelia Heinle taking over for Heather Tom, now Katie on The Bold and the Beautiful) when former stepfather Jack Abbott made her an offer to work at Jabot Cosmetics that she couldn’t refuse.

Though Victoria tried to pick up where she’d left off with old flame Michael Baldwin, his marriage to Lauren Fenmore made a do-over an impossibility. So Victoria made husband No. 3 her father’s worst nightmare — well, one of ’em, anyway; he’s nightmare-prone — philandering Brad Carlton (Don Diamont, now a Bold & Beautiful MVP as Bill).

Doomed from the start, Victoria and Brad’s marriage really hit the skids when she learned that he’d betrayed her with sometime sister-in-law Sharon Newman. Not helping matters: the fact that Victoria’s friendship with J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill, whom Heinle wed in 2007) came with, ahem, benefits.

As impulsive as they come, Victoria reacted to hubby No. 4 J.T. kissing his ex — Brad’s daughter, Colleen Carlton — by having a fling with amoral womanizer Deacon Sharpe. At that point, she probably thought that things couldn’t get worse. But then, that was before her lover married her freakin’ mother!

If Victor hated one of Victoria’s husbands more than he had Brad, it was Billy Abbott (then Billy Miller). So rather than merely object at the couple’s wedding, the father of the bride had her arrested (!) on the day that she was to marry into archenemy Jack’s family.
The Other Woman

By the end of 2011, Victoria and Billy had already broken up and remarried… which made it the perfect time for con artist Chelsea Lawson to show up on their doorstep and announce that she was carrying his child. For once, the couple saw each other through a crisis and decided to raise baby Johnny together.

When Billy, reeling from the death of daughter Delia, sought comfort in the arms of Kelly Andrews, Victoria grew closer to Kelly’s brother, Stitch Rayburn. So close, in fact, that they had sex. But the new relationship went nowhere fast as the hot doctor decided that he’d rather pursue Victoria’s half sister, Abby. And her mother, Ashley. But that’s another story altogether!
Grave Matters

After Victoria reconnected with J.T, a brain tumor helped curdle his bitterness into abuse. Finally, to protect her daughter, Nikki whacked him, then teamed up with Victoria, Sharon and occasional daughter-in-law Phyllis Summers (then Gina Tognoni) to dispose of the body. Which turned out to still have a pulse, we might add.
Daddy Issues

It’s never been easy for Victoria, having a father like the great Victor Newman. When he wasn’t meddling in her (literal) affairs, he was forever dangling the seat of power at Newman Enterprises in front of her like a carrot onto which she could never quite hold. When at last she stood up to him, he backed down — an unfamiliar move for the tycoon — and made her permanent CEO.

Every few years, Victoria and Billy decide to give it the old college try again. (Maybe at this point it’s more like the old grad-school try?) Unfortunately for Victoria, when she came to the conclusion in early 2021 that she wanted back her ex (now Jason Thompson), a new obstacle was in her way: his girlfriend, Lily Winters.
