In the Thursday, May 11, 2023 episode of Young & Restless, recapped in full here, Summer was trying to leave after she saw Daniel sitting in Crimson Lights, but Sharon intercepted her to offer tea and sympathy. Okay, coffee and sympathy.
In one of the most heated arguments ever held while whispering, Summer and Daniel had it out again over whether or not to divulge the truth that their mother is alive.
The bickering and tension between Summer and Daniel didn’t go unnoticed at Crimson Lights. Luckily, Sharon is at the ready to provide mediation if need be.
Chance also noticed the tension between Summer and Daniel and approached the latter after his sister left in a huff. Daniel questioned the cop as to what the odds were on Diane being convicted.
We’re not sure there was any humor in their actual scene, so this may be an outtake. Chance assured Daniel they would bring his mother’s killer to justice, which prompted Daniel to send Jack a text asking to meet.
Adam popped by Ashley and Tucker’s table to needle McCall about having taken over his company and ribbed the guy about the terrible state of the books etc. Tucker and Ashley gave as good as they got, which meant an entertaining scene for us.
After Ashley came to Tucker’s defense with Adam, he teased her about coming to care for him. She didn’t admit it…yet, but smiled.
Tucker left his lunch with Ashley to go home and offer Diane a way out… he’d bankroll her latest disappearance so Jack and Kyle wouldn’t have to suffer through watching her be convicted of murder. This gave Diane food for thought.
As she gazed at photos of her loved ones, Diane was giving serious thought to becoming a runaway again… until Jack came in.
Diane admitted to Jack that she was considering Tucker’s offer, but he convinced her to stop thinking that way. He vowed they would prove her innocence, which seemed to buoy her. Diane promised she’d stay and fight.
