Three days before Christel Khalil celebrated the 20th (!) anniversary of her Young & Restless debut as Lily Winters, a party was thrown in her honor on the set of the Abbott mansion.
On hand for the shindig were Khalil’s son, Caden, 12, and fiancé Sam Restagno.
Helping usher Khalil into her next two decades in Genoa City was on-screen love Jason Thompson (Billy).
Khalil got many a warm embrace on her special day, including one from Peter Bergman (Jack).
Sean Dominic (Nate) had an ideal “point of view,” so to speak, on Lily’s portrayer.
Khalil and on-screen brother Bryton James (Devon) were treated to a spectacular flashback to bygone days.
So you don’t have to squint, here’s that same photo from 2005 — or one much like it — only bigger.
Beth Maitland watched Khalil grow up as the best friend of Traci’s oft-recast on-screen daughter, Colleen.
As you can see, there were as many laughs as there were flowers and balloons.
Restagno and Caden looked every bit as delighted by the day as Khalil did.
Lily’s epic romance with ex-husband Cane was well-represented.
… your show puts your face on a cookie.
Heartiest congratulations to Khalil, who over the years has grown from promising up-and-comer to well-respected mover and shaker.
