This week on Days of our Lives, Sami calls a surprising witness to testify against Nicole. We have a few ideas on who that could be…

Considering Sami mentioned him in the hearing on Thursday, Xander could be the witness. Without Nicole’s taped confession about killing Deimos, Sami’s accusation is baseless, but if she had corroboration from someone else, it might hold some weight. Although, Xander probably isn’t the most reliable of witnesses. Plus, how would Sami convince him to testify?

Another option is Sami’s back from the dead husband EJ. Since he was married to Nicole, intimately knows her transgressions, and can testify to her kidnapping Sydney, EJ could do some damage. But mostly, considering Allison Sweeney is sticking around Salem for an extended amount of time as Sami, it would be a fun and surprising way to bring her husband back too.

Sami’s step-brother returns this week, which means he’s available to swing by and testify. He has a history with Nicole, both good and bad, but would he go against her and his brother Eric, considering they’re finally on good terms? If so, he would definitely turn things upside down.

Another of Nicole’s exes is primed for being called on. Not only has Lucas seen Nicole’s dirty work up close and personal, but he is Baby Horton’s grandfather. Lucas should probably have something to say about who raises him.

Will leaves Salem this week, but before he does he might decide to weigh in on his nephew’s fate. Being Allie’s brother and Sami’s son gives him insight into the custody battle, but considering Allie doesn’t want Sami anywhere near her baby drama, would Will side with his mother?

It’s the question looming large over this storyline – Who is the father of Allie’s baby? Could Sami figure out that missing tidbit and coerce him into testifying on her behalf? One suspect in Baby Horton’s paternity is Tripp Johnson who just so happens to be returning to Salem. Would he want Sami to raise his child? Or better yet, could he fight for custody himself?
