Jill, pictured here with her mother Liz, started out as the wealthy Katherine Chancellor’s manicurist. Little did Kay know that the young woman would manage to wrest her husband from her. Jill married Phillip on his deathbed, securing an inheritance.
John Abbott’s children, including Jack and Ashley pictured here, were none too pleased when he married pot-stirrer Jill. They stood by their father’s side though, when he decided to put a ring on it. Jill and John were married twice over the years.
Entanglements

Jill initially recruited Rex to seduce Katherine, then decided she wanted him for herself. Later, Rex was her confidante when she worried about how to tell John she was pregnant.
The Stuff of Legends

Forced to co-habitate at the Chancellor Estate, Jill’s rivalry with Katherine became the stuff of soap legend. The women expertly slung insults at each other on a regular basis and made cat-fighting into an art form what with their battle in the attic, their cakefight, etc… We dearly miss this pair on our screens.
Not That Into You

Although Jill’s most legendary clashes were with Katherine Chancellor, she was no fan of Nina Webster back in the day. Nina became pregnant by Jill’s son Phillip, and Jill didn’t believe the girl was good enough for her son. Jill also tangled with Nikki Newman, Katherine’s close friend, and her maid, Esther.
The Reluctant Father

John wasn’t pleased when his Jill announced she was pregnant, especially considering he’d just had a vasectomy and thought she had been taking ‘precautions’ prior to the procedure. John came around to the idea, however, and Jill gave birth to Billy.
Back From the Dead

Though Cane conned Jill and Katherine when he first appeared in Genoa City, when the truth about his identity came out, it led to the revelation that Jill’s son Phillip, who everyone believed dead, was actually alive. He had faked his death and was living in Australia. A reunion took place, but Phillip eventually went back.
My Nemesis, My Mother

At one point, Katherine and Jill were shocked to find out they were mother and daughter. It was rough going at times navigating the new relationship. Eventually, they learned it wasn’t true after all, and just might have been a little disappointed.
Powerful Men

Jill had an affinity for powerful men, and Genoa City magnate Victor Newman was no exception. Jill and Victor were lovers.

Lauren Fenmore was stunned to discover that she and Jill Foster Abbott had the same father. Though they love each other now, it was tense at first, especially when Jill took an interest in the family business, Fenmore’s.
A Lotta History

Jill and Jack had an affair behind his father’s back when they were younger, and share a long and volatile history. Nowadays, the pair is able to look back on some of their past with amusement and have even been flirtatious with one another.
Saying Goodbye

Despite their long-standing feud, there was a grudging respect between Jill and Katherine and a deep love grew over time. Don’t get us wrong, Jill continued to curse Katherine’s portrait even after she was gone, but was devastated by her death. Jill, a powerful executive over the years in positions at both Jabot and Newman Enterprises, became the CEO of Katherine’s Chancellor Industries.
Reality Check

A stressed out Jill was given a reality check when she discovered what she thought was acid reflux was actually a heart condition. Jill was taken aback to have to slow down and go on Esther’s heart-healthy diet.
Tainted Love

Jill fell hard for Colin Atkinson, the schemer from Down Under, and Cane’s father. However, he hurt her more than once, and the disappointments and cons eventually split them up for good… and landed Colin behind bars.
Master Meddler

For years, Jill’s role seemed to be to drop into town and meddle in her sons’ lives. She believed Billy belonged with Victoria, and Cane with Lily, and was disappointed when neither of the marriages worked out.
When Opportunity Knocks…

Jill was forever trying to keep Billy on the right track, a task which has proved to be difficult. She saw an opportunity to keep him on the straight and narrow and out of trouble by putting him in charge of her new media division — Chancellor Communications. The caveat? He’d have to run it alongside Lily Winters. Little did Jill know it would work out better than she’d ever hoped when the pair fell in love. Of course, Billy still ended up in hot water and that spelled the end of Chance Comm.
A New Chapter

Jill made the huge decision to move on to the next chapter of her life when she offered the reins of Chancellor Industries to Lily. Though the dynamo agreed to stay on as a consultant, she would now be semi-retired. Lily’s first move was to negotiate a merger with Devon’s Hamilton-Winters, and Jill returned to town for the launch of the new Chancellor-Winters.
