Valentin is Introduced
Valentin emerged in June of 2016. He first claimed to be Theo Hart, a native of Cassadine Island and a fisherman. He quickly revealed his true identity and shot Nikolas in order to usurp the family fortune.

Valentin Meets Nina
Image Credit: Jill Johnson/JPI When he turned up in Port Charles, Valentin continued to use the name Theo Hart. He used the alias when he met and had a one night stand with Nina Reeves. For both though it was love at first sight.

Valentin and Anna’s Past
Image Credit: Jill Johnson/JPI A major point of contention in Valentin and Nina’s romance and first marriage was Nina’s jealousy of Anna and Valentin’s past. Valentin was once enamored with Anna when they both worked in the WSB, but she rebuffed him after a one night stand and his love turned to hatred. He later learned it was Anna’s twin Alex he slept with.

Valentin and Cassandra’s Past

She and Valentin had a past and she attempted to blackmail him into helping her run drugs in Port Charles. She also discovered where he had hidden Claudette Beaulieu, the surrogate who carried his daughter Charlotte. She further blackmailed him using that information.

Pater and Valentin’s Past
Image Credit: ABC Valentin’s past secrets continued to cause trouble for him and Nina. Years ago, Valentin learned Anna was pregnant with Faison’s child and gave him up for adoption to protect him. Still angry with Anna/Alex, he was able to locate the boy, Peter, and returned him to his father Faison. This ultimately led to Peter hating his father and the accidental death of Nina’s brother Nathan West decades later. Nina ended her marriage to Valentin over his numerous secrets.

Valentin Performs

Valentin Romances Nina
Image Credit: ABC In one of his many attempts to woo Nina, Valentin romanced Nina in Morocco where she was on a Crimson photoshoot. When an invaluable diamond necklace went missing, and Valentin mysteriously recovered it, Nina was suspicious.

Valentin Rescues Nina
Image Credit: ABC Obrecht became fixated on torturing Peter for the death of her son Nathan. She was able to pull Nina into her scheme. While hiding Peter in the Cassadine stables a fire broke out trapping Nina and Peter. Valentin ran to their rescue.

Valentin Orchestrates a Daughter
Image Credit: ABC In an attempt to win Nina back, he brought Sasha Gilmore to Port Charles to pose as Nina’s long lost daughter, even orchestrating several fake DNA tests. What was supposed to end with Sasha leaving shortly after the truth came out resulted in Sasha becoming entangled in the lie and Nina’s life.

Obrecht Becomes a Problem
Image Credit: ABC Obrecht discovered that Sasha was not Nina’s daughter and Valentin orchestrated the whole scheme. In return for him convincing Peter to hire her as a medical writer for The Invader, she kept his secret. She also knew the truth would destroy Nina.

Another Ball

Lulu Crashes Valentin’s Wedding
Image Credit: ABC After overhearing the truth about Sasha at Nina’s bachelorette part, a conflicted Lulu finally blurted it out at his second wedding to Nina, bringing it to a halt. Sasha took the entire blame for the scam in an attempt to protect Valentin, but Michael also knew the truth and that Valentin was the mastermind.

Nina’s Love for Charlotte

Image Credit: ABC The night of Valentin’s third attempt to wed Nina, Ava confronted him on the Cassadine turret. Ava had been working with Nina and Nikolas to stop Valentin. Fed up with Ava, he shoved her off the turret, which was seen by his daughter Charlotte.

Another Failed Wedding

However, he had no idea she planned to break his heart at the altar, already knowing that he was the one who orchestrated the Sasha lie. Before she could, Nikolas Cassadine returned from the dead carrying Ava, who Valentin had just shoved off his castle into the waters below, in his arms.

A Devastating Truth

She passed Valentin off as Mikkos’ to punish him for his numerous affairs. When the truth came out, he lost the Cassadine fortune and was visited by Helena’s ghost.

Alexis and Valentin
Image Credit: ABC Valentin had once gifted Alexis Davis, aka Natasha Cassadine, with her mother’s watch for helping him out with some legal troubles. After Valentin learned he was not a Cassadine, it was Alexis who comforted him and offered advice.

Joint Custody

Eventually, Valentin realized he was not raising her right, and she was learning to scheme and plot just like him. He decided to give Lulu full custody, but Lulu along with Nina made him realize Charlotte needed him. They finally agreed to get along and share custody for their daughter’s sake.

Valentin’s Latest Scheme
Image Credit: ABC Currently, Valentin has hired Martin Gray to help him purchase up enough shares of ELQ so he holds the majority and thus control of the company. The plan is part of his revenge against Michael Quartermaine, who dared stand up to him in order to protect Sasha Gilmore.
