Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) and Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) didn’t like each other on first sight but soon had a flirtation going and some hate sex added to the mix. Stefan always wore suits and had his hair styled, he was freshly shaved and elegant.
Stefan and Gabi knew how to argue and usually, their arguments turned into some hot sex. They were outside at the park here.

Though Gabi and Stefan got off on the wrong leg when they met, and had a tumultuous relationship, they fell hard for each other, though they married initially in order for her to gain control over DiMera Enterprises. They were married on July 31, 2019, in a ceremony at the DiMera mansion with Abe Carver officiating.
The day that Stefan was shot by accident, he gave Gabi one last kiss goodbye after taking a call from Vivian. He was going to take her to a private airfield where she could escape Salem. Stefan gave Gabi a heart necklace and then met his mother at the park October 3, where Lani found them and ultimately shot Stefan. Stefan died or so we thought until we recently learned that Dr. Rolf may have had something to do with a certain Jake Lambert showing up in Salem.
Gabi was meandering through the square and saw something she could not believe. Stefan. But it turned out it was Jake Lambert, the new mechanic in Salem. Gabi calls him a “grease monkey” but she’s still every bit as attracted to him and it appears though he calls her a pain in the ass that he’s into her. Stefan and Jake differ. While Stefan always wore suits and had his hair styled, and he was freshly shaved and elegant, Jake works in a garage, has some sort of Brooklyn accent and wears jeans and relaxed t-shirts. His walk even differs from Stefan’s. Which guy are you crazy over – or do you prefer both?
Once Gabi came to, she actually met Jake face-to-face. She thought he was Stefan and he had heard of her from Ben and told her he was Jake. He’s dissimilar to Stefan. He’s got an accent, he wears relaxed clothing, he works in a garage instead of at an office.
Gabi wanted to test if Jake was really Stefan so she kissed him. He responded and then pushed her away. He insisted he’s not Jake but it sure seems plausible.
Gabi went to Dr. Wilhelm Rolf after meeting Jake and demanded answers. Rolf told her that indeed, he brought Stefan back to life and he has amnesia. He told Gabi where to find the serum to inject him with to bring his memories back. Of course, Rolf was playing Gabi. The contents of the syringe were not what she thought.
Gabi learns from Kayla that the serum she was going to inject Jake with was the same drug that Abigail was being drugged with. She was shocked and now it looks as if she’s going to be brought up on charges. Just as Jake was starting to consider there might be something to this.
