When Claire Brady (Olivia Keegan) learned that Chase raped Ciara Brady, her aunt of the same age, Claire wouldn’t stand for it and with her friends, kidnapped Chase and took him to an abandoned warehouse so that Ciara could confront him. Chase was eventually arrested.
Ciara and Claire were vying for the Face of Bella contest. It looked as if Ciara would win by a landslide so Claire decided to cheat and won. She had her friend Wyatt hack the vote, after Theo Carver refused to. Ciara accused Claire of being jealous – she was right. When the truth came out, Theo broke up with Claire.
Ciara was dating Tripp, but she broke up with him when she couldn’t bring herself to sleep with him. She hadn’t told him about being raped. After Theo dumped Claire, and Tripp was feeling rejected, they turned to one another. Ciara walked in on them about to have sex. Upset she took off on her bike, crashed it, but was rescued by Ben Weston.
Claire discovered where Ciara, who was being held captive by Ben’s crazy sister Jordan Ridgeway, was. Instead of freeing her, she set fire to the cabin. She later attempted to frame Ben Weston, along with Eve Donovan’s help, who Claire admitted to that she was the one who set the fire.
Claire learned Tripp Johnson was marrying Haley Chen for a green card and though she put on a smile, she was seething inside that the man she loved would betray her, even though the marriage was platonic.
Claire, our little firestarter, learned that Tripp and Haley were hiding out at the Horton Cabin on Smith Island and set fire to the cabin, hopeful she’d kill them both.
Eli learned the cabin was on fire and saved Tripp and Haley’s lives while the smoke filled the room. Claire is good at starting fires but someone always saves those she intends to kill.
When it was known that Claire had a mental imbalance of some sort, she was sent to Bayview. Tripp said goodbye and forgave her before she left Salem.
Claire called her grandma, Dr. Marlena Evans, to help get her out of Bayview. She told Marlena that she was doing all she could to get well again, therapy, group therapy, and if Ben Weston, the Necktie Killer was roaming the Salem streets, she asked why she couldn’t! Is Claire rehabilitated? Or is she planning on setting fire to Ben and Ciara?
