Bo was a rebellious young man on a motorbike when he met the barely eighteen spoiled daddy’s girl Hope Williams. The two fell in love, much to the dismay of her father Doug. Their romance is still one of the most popular on Days of our Lives.
Bo and Hope have had many adventures over the years, and even overcome faked deaths to reunite. From sailing around the world on their boat The Fancyface, to sinking cruise ships, and even having their memories stolen by Stefano DiMera, they’ve done just about everything.
Bo was Caroline Brady’s youngest child, and she always had a soft spot for him, even when he was causing trouble. When Caroline began to battle Alzheimer’s, Bo took her to California for treatment, and later tried to find an experimental cure for her.
Bo was stunned to learn that Shawn Brady was not his biological father, but that his mother had an affair with Victor Kiriakis. Bo, Caroline and Victor all kept the secret from Shawn for years after Bo learned it, but the truth did come out. Bo and Victor’s relationship was rocky in the beginning, but over the years he came to love Victor as a second father.
Bo and his sister Kayla had a special relationship. She married his best friend Steve Johnson. In 1986, it was Kayla, along with Steve who helped orphans Max and Frankie find a home with Kayla’s parents, Caroline and Shawn Sr. Near the end, it was also Kayla who diagnosed her brother with an inoperable terminal brain tumor.
Bo and his big brother Roman butted heads growing up, but also when Bo was a young adult. Bo was the black sheep of the Brady’s and always getting into trouble, whereas Roman was a by-the-book cop. Later in life, Bo joined his brother on the Salem Police Force.
Frankie and Max were adopted by Bo’s parents, Caroline and Shawn Sr. Frankie claimed he was Max’s brother but later, it turned out he wasn’t. Still, Steve mentored Frankie who was accepted by Bo and the rest of the family.
Kimberly is the oldest daughter in the family. Second born, she married Shane Donovan. Kimberly and Shane got into some adventures together. One in particular was when Bo, Hope, Kim and Shane worked together against Victor Kiriakis. At one point, when Victor threw Shane in prison, Kimberly came up with a plan to save him by sleeping with Victor.
This was before Bo knew he was Victor’s son, not Shawn Sr.’s, and before he knew he was half-brother to Philip Kiriakis and Isabella Toscano.
When John Black appeared in Salem as The Pawn, many believed he was Stefano DiMera back from the dead. In time everyone, John himself, came to believe he was Roman who had been believed dead at Stefano’s hands. Bo and RoJohn continued to but heads, but grew close over the years. When the real Roman returned, Bo continued to treat John as his other brother.
Bo and Steve knew one another from their time in the Merchant Marines. They both have a dagger tattoo, which they got with Britta Englund. The two had a falling out over her and Bo put Steve’s eye out. Years later they repaired their friendship.
Bo and Steve have gone on several adventures together and had each other’s backs for years. They regarded each other as adopted brothers. When Steve and Kayla went to Australia to try and rescue their kidnapped daughter Stephanie, Bo and Hope appeared on Bo’s bike to help them.
Bo, along with Rafe Hernandez and John Black have also had many adventures together over the years. They often worked with one another to take down Salem’s criminals, especially the members of the DiMera family.
Bo’s feud with Stefano began when he witnessed Stefano push Roman off a cliff to his death. Over the years the two have gone head to head. Not only did Stefano kidnap and brainwash Bo’s wife Hope into being Princess Gina, but at one point he also brainwashed Bo into being a supersoldier for him.
Bo’s second daughter, Ciara, was born to Bo and Hope. She’s sister to Shawn and now deceased Zack. As a child, Ciara was bratty and determined. She turned into a tom boy as a teenager. Ciara didn’t have Bo in her life for very long since he passed away when she was a teen.
Max dated Chelsea, Bo’s firstborn child with Billie Reed. Bo and Billie were told their child died at birth and was buried in the bayou in Louisiana. As a teenager, blood tests revealed she was their child and she returned to Salem with her biological parents.
Bo and Hope had Shawn, their firstborn son, who married Belle Black, and had Claire. Shawn followed in his father’s footsteps and became a Salem Policeman. He specialized in forensics.
Zach was the baby of the family, but Bo and Hope lost the little guy when he went into traffic and was accidentally hit by a car. The driver was shockingly, Chelsea, Bo’s firstborn daughter.
