We’d bet our life — or at least Kristen DiMera’s life — that Days of Our Lives is planning to launch a murder mystery with the villainess in the starring role… of the victim. Below are the usual and unusual suspects that are the likeliest to wind up being the answer to the question, “Whodunit?”
He was ready to flat-out murder Orpheus before he even made his move. Now that Steve’s Sweetness died because of Kristen’s selfish scheming, it’s not hard to imagine he’ll be looking for violent payback. Right now, he’s trying to do that through legal means, but if that fails, all bets are off.
Family is paramount for the DiMeras, but lately Kristen has become something of a liability, damaging their, well, not-so-good name. She played with Marlena’s life and that’s Johnny’s grandmother. Plus, she’s now threatening to blow up the family even more and tell Stefan about EJ willingly using his brainwashing for power. That’s a dangerous line.
Right now, Eric is a loose cannon who’s lost pretty much everything. He’s making all kinds of bad decisions, including holding Kristen at gunpoint. It doesn’t seem like it’ll take much for him to tip over the edge and pull the trigger next time.
She may not seem like the likeliest of of people to pull the trigger, but practically the first thing she uttered upon her return to Salem was that she wanted to put Kristen into the ground. And her legal expertise might just give her the edge needed to stay out of trouble for the killing.
Do we really need to explain why he’d want Kristen dead? And Li, too, for that matter! Yeah, they brought him back from the brink of death, but they did it in the cruelest, most manipulative way possible, making a total mess of the life he returned to. DiMeras don’t suffer these things lightly.
Honestly, there was a decent chance that Kristen’s crazy plot to force him to love her may have worked. Brady’s made dumb decisions with her before. But at this point, he doesn’t seem to have much left for his ex but contempt and rage. And a vengeful Brady is capable of quite a lot. Isn’t that right, Vivian?
There’s no question that she’ll be looking for payback — it’s just in Gabi’s nature. But while Li’s her obvious choice, she did seem to have genuine feelings for him that could make murder difficult. Kristen, though, could be the perfect target…
Yeah, he saved Kristen from what he thought was Steve’s attempt to kill her, but he wasted no time in making it clear that he did it to keep Steve out of jail, not to keep his aunt alive. Johnny’s ticked and he’s willing to do what he needs to to make Kristen pay for putting his grandmom’s life in jeopardy.
His life and love have blown up, and so far, Li’s just barely skating prison because there’s not enough evidence. That can’t last forever, though. The smart thing to do might be to kill Kristen and frame her for the entire scheme.
Kristen has caused massive amounts of pain for John and his family over and over again over the years. And it’s a sure bet she’ll keep on doing it… unless John decides it’s time to put her in the ground.
He’s always been on the right side of the law, but bend a man far enough and even the greatest can break. Roman just got Kate back only for Kristen to rip him away. Plus, the man does know his way around a gun!
Li didn’t come right out and say it, but he made sure Chloe knew that Kristen was the one with a vested interest in brainwashing Stefan into loving her. And now that Brady’s explained everything that Kristen’s done, Chloe’s got to be feeling pretty furious.
Kristen messed with his plan for Kate, Kayla and Marlena. Sure, it all worked out how he wanted in the end, but that doesn’t mean he won’t feel a lesson needs to be doled out in the harshest way possible.
He was far from stable when he last left Salem, and about the only person in his corner was his mom. Now she’s gone, and it’s Kristen’s fault. Add in the fact that we know Victor’s not long for this world and we could be looking at a very angry, very vengeful Philip…
What does he have to lose? He’s already serving prison time and his mother’s just been murdered. Why not take Orpheus out in prison and make a break for Kristen? After all, we know he’s capable of some pretty horrendous things. See Exhibit A above.
We know, Rex is a doctor and his first maxim is “Do no harm.” But he just watched his mom die, despite his best efforts to save her. That’ll make any man crack. And a broken son with access to some pretty lethal drugs is especially dangerous.
Shocked? Don’t be. It’d be no surprise if Sarah started thinking she and Xander may have been happy if Kristen hadn’t ruined their first chance. With the whole town gunning for Kristen, this would be the perfect time for Sarah to get her revenge on the woman who kidnapped, drugged and brainwashed her and hope the suspect pool is too big to be caught.
