Sonny’s lost love is always high on our wish list of characters we want back in Port Charles. And, were she to finally explore her feelings for onetime husband of convenience Jason, both of them might realize that — who’d have thunk it? — they’d be even better as lovers than they were as friends.
We know, we know — Jason’s ex is happily hitched to Franco. But a lasting marriage is as rare in Port Charles as a mobster who goes to (and remains in!) jail. If she and her husband hit a rough patch just as Jason was pulling away from Sam…c’mon. We all know they’d be meeting at the safe house quicker than we could say, “Friz who?”
Remember eons ago, when brain damage turned Jason Quartermaine into Jason Morgan, and he got mixed up in that feelings-free fling with future bestie Carly? For the sake of putting distance between himself and Sam, he could pull the same stunt, only this time with someone who reminds him, however vaguely, of Liz: her half sis.
If GH pushes Curtis in Portia’s direction, his wife will need some serious pain relief. What better way to take her mind off her heart than revenge sex with someone she can barely stand: Jason. He’d effectively set Sam free, and the police commissioner would have to reevaluate her thoughts about why Jason is, ahem, Port Charles’ Most Wanted.
“Sacrilege!” you say. “Intriguing!” we reply. Aren’t you at all curious to see what the BFFs would be like in a romance all these years after their initial affair (and with Laura Wright playing Carly)? Can’t you imagine the fireworks that would be set off if the Corinthoses’ marriage went belly up, and Sonny’s moll sought comfort in the arms of his right-hand man? Sam might even join the don in hurling barware!
