The Bold and the Beautiful’s Steffy and Hope
When the beauties were fighting over Liam, it made sense that their fans constantly butted heads over which was more deserving and why. Oddly, despite each now having their own man, the fan battles continue!
The Young and the Restless’ Sharon and Phyllis

Their longtime feud actually led to the death of fan favorite Drucilla (sob!). These days, the ladies tend to cross with much less frequency… the same can’t necessarily be said for their fans, however!
General Hospital’s Liz/Jason/Sam

This triangle hasn’t been a factor in years — heck, Jason isn’t even on the canvas anymore — and yet each side’s fans continue to wage war. The real bummer: The show never really played this triangle for all — or even half — of what it was worth.
The Bold and the Beautiful’s Brooke

Girl, don’t even try acting surprised to find yourself on this list. You know as well as we do that for every fan who worships the ground you walk on, there’s another who’s tired of you and the other “Ho-gan” sisters always coming out on top.
General Hospital’s Nina
You’d think a woman who had years of her life and two children stolen from her might garner a little sympathy from the audience. But there’s a whole lot of people out there who will never forgive her for coming between Sonny and Carly… including Carly!
They say you never forget your first love… and “Shick” supporters would agree wholeheartedly. Others, however, suggest it’s long past time to get over it and move on, declaring the former supercouple deader than disco.
Days of Our Lives’ Kristen

If ever there was an heir apparent to Stefano’s evil legacy, it’s this schemer. Which is why half the audience absolutely adores the character… and the other half believes her actions need to have far-reaching consequences.
The Bold and the Beautiful’s Thomas

“He’s not bad, he’s just written that way,” defenders will say of Douglas’ dad. Others, however, wonder just how many times Taylor’s son gets to play the “No, really, this time I’ve changed!” card.
Grey’s Anatomy’s New Interns
Are they breathing new life into the venerable primetime drama or painful reminders of the great actors and characters the show has lost in recent years? We’re firmly in the “love ’em” camp, but some seem to think that the show should have ended with the exit of…
Grey’s Anatomy’s Meredith
Long before Ellen Pompeo kinda-sorta exited the hospital drama which takes its name from her character, a whole lotta folks were ready for Mer to check out. For them, badly written post-Derek romances and Mer’s endless time on COVID Beach had them saying, “She goes, or I do!”
The Young and the Restless’ Sharon and Adam

Although they haven’t been together for a while, “Shadam” still have a very vocal fan base. They also have haters who don’t understand how any woman could be with a guy who once stole her child and allowed her to believe it dead!
Days of Our Lives’ Satan
When headwriter Ron Carlivati decided to revisit Marlena’s literal demon a second time, some fans were thrilled, others… less so. Having the devil body surf was a new twist, but the lack of big-time stakes left many wanting a return to old-fashioned, grounded storytelling.
The Bold and the Beautiful’s Taylor/Ridge/Brooke Triangle
Image Credit: Stephane Cardinale/Corbis/Getty Images, Toni Anne Barson/FilmMagic/Getty Images, CBS/Getty Images
For over three decades, Ridge has ping-ponged between the two loves of his life… and would still be doing so today if not for the fact that the women decided to walk away from him. (Of course, we’re not entirely convinced this trio won’t eventually find themselves circling back to the triangle that has become their comfort zone!)
General Hospital’s Sonny
To some, he’s a charmingly dimpled don who is the ultimate smooth operator. To others, he’s a flat-out criminal who is all anti, no hero. Get between those who tune in for Sonny and those who do so in spite of him, and you’re likely to get caught in the verbal crossfire.
The Young and the Restless’ Victor
The most powerful man in Genoa City has been taking on challengers to his throne since 1980… and come out on top pretty much every single time. Just once, some say, it would be nice to see Victor lose to someone. Perhaps perpetual rival and longtime nemesis Jack?
Days of Our Lives’ Alex
It’s doubtful anyone will argue when we understate that the guy is hot. What they will heatedly debate is whether he’s a charming playboy or simply a player who desperately needs to attend a sexual harassment seminar.
General Hospital’s Esme
Can this troublemaker be redeemed? Should she be? That depends on whom you ask. Viewers who love a good bad girl want Esme to keep stirring things up. Spencer/Trina fans, on the other hand, will never forgive his ex.
Having spent three decades terrorizing the populations of two soap towns, Sheila’s become a wildly popular villainess… whom many viewers are ready to see pay the price for her cross-country crime spree(s).
Yellowstone’s Beth
We’ll admit to being unabashed fans of the tough-talking, hard-drinking, Summer-hating, obscenity-loving businesswoman. Others, however, find her abrasive, rude and borderline psychotic. (All of which goes right back to why we love her!)
General Hospital’s Carly
If there’s one thing even her staunchest defenders will probably agree on, it’s that Carly can be a tad (ha!) hypocritical. The real battle is between those who can’t get enough of the character, and those who think “Snarly” (as they not-so-affectionately call her) eats up too much screen time.
The Young and the Restless’ Jack and Diane
Talk about torn! Half the audience wants to see Jack find happiness (at last!) with Diane and become a Victor/Nikki style power couple. The other half is convinced Diane’s playing a game… and hate that Jack’s falling for it!
Days of Our Lives’ Ben and Ciara
One of the most popular couples to hit Salem in years has their fair share of detractors. Why? Maybe it has to do with his past as a serial killer… or perhaps the corny scenarios in which they “psychically call out” to one another.
General Hospital’s Michael and Willow
They’re “Millow” to their supporters, boring as miquetoast to their detractors, many of whom preferred when she was with Chase. Even as some fans are looking forward to the upcoming Michael/Willow wedding, others can’t help hoping his secrets or her condition will kill this relationship.
The Bold and the Beautiful’s Steffy and Finn
Pretty much everyone agrees it was time for Steffy to stop pursuing Liam and have a man who put her first. Unfortunately, Finn seems to have no life outside of his wife… which pushes the buttons of those who find him to be more of a caricature than character.
General Hospital’s Joss and Dex
Given that she broke the heart of Cameron — aka one of the nicest young men in Port Charles — it’s not surprising that some have put this pair on blast. Others, however, think this is the kind of mature relationship Joss couldn’t have with her ex.
The Young and the Restless’ Carousel of CEOs
We’re not saying that every person in this picture has been made boss of a Genoa City company at some point over the past year or so… or are we? Some love the business intrigue, while others think it’s a case of corporate overkill.
